Q&A with Brian Moore

Name: Brian Moore

School & Grade: Kingston Senior

Height & Position: 6-foot-1 combo guard

Moore has been my Section 9 player to watch in quite some time. He’s averaging 31 points per game through 10 games for the Tigers, helping them to a 9-1 record. A lightning-quick guard who can heat up faster than an oven from Subway. Remember the name — Brian Moore.

If you had to compare your game to any basketball player, past or present, who would it be and why?

“I say I play similar to Trae Young because we’re both deep three-point shooters, and we both have the ability to create shots”

Besides yourself, or anyone else on your team, who do you think the best basketball player in Section 9 is and why?

“(Middletown guard) Marquis Gill because he’s a tough point guard to stay in front of because of how shifty he is. He has great IQ, breaks down defenses well and makes players around him better.”

Any idea what profession you want to pursue after high school?

“To play professional or overseas basketball.”

You’re only allowed to listen to one musical artist for the rest of your life. Who you listenin’ to?

“Lil Baby”

One fact that most people don’t know about you.

“I moved from NYC to Kingston three years ago.”

What’s your favorite NBA team and why?

“The Spurs because of the way they move the ball and the legacy they’ve had for the last couple of decades.”

What current trend makes no sense to you?

   “Man buns”

What takes up too much of your time?

“Basketball; but I don’t look at it as taking up time, because it’s something I love to do.”

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

   “Come watch me play basketball.”
